Now that the new year has passed, and the weather has cleared up a little, the flight lessons are able to continue!
This Year:
So far I have conducted two lessons with Redhill Aviation this year.
Below is the takeoff footage of the flight (you can see how bumpy it is!)
Only speech from ATC and myself is included in this clip for privacy
Here is a little taster of one of the stalls in the lesson below. This one specifically is a 'power off' stall.
The audio has been removed on purpose
After having conducted this lesson on stalling, I feel motivated to take up some additional training later in life, such as experiencing spins, as it is not covered in the PPL syllabus - just to know how to deal with them as it could save my life and will make me a safer pilot.
That has been my progress so far
A big thank you to Laurance, my flight instructor, for being a fantastic mentor in every lesson!
I apologize that this update has taken me a while to release - I have just started my first year of college and since I am taking four subjects, I get set a lot of work so I have little time for myself or any other activities. Even before flying lessons I have to get a lot of college work done.
Now that I am settled into college I plan to update my blog a lot more regularly. Thank you to everyone who has been incredibly supportive - it really means a lot to me. |
